I returned home just an hour ago after my two-week vacation in the Pacific Northwest. It was nice to be away and to enjoy the time with friends and family, but coming home is also a comforting thought.
The weather was unusually splendid during this trip, especially in the Canadian Rockies (where the weather can be quite unpredictable). The changes in the Columbia Icefield that I noticed during this return visit compared to what I saw 15 years ago clearly show signs of global warming.
I expect to see a pile of stuff waiting for me in the office in the morning. On a positive note, I have plans for an encounter with the Soup Nazi at high noon.
