Women and Medicine

Ok, maybe I'm getting too sensitive, but there have been two medical annoncements of late that have set me to a wondering. The first was that women under 50, no longer need mamograms. The second, was that women under 21 no longer need a pap test.

I am far from a medical person, but I find it odd that there is no study saying men need not get as many PSTs or other, male oriented, testing. Am I seeing a gender bias here? Are we saying that women's health is not as important as male health?
